dariorasero® scoops are made for food service, but they end up doing many other jobs. Not because they were adapted: because the ergonomics and the strength built into them make them suitable for very different uses. People working in chemical laboratories, in pharmaceutical departments or at a materials testing press have found in a professional kitchen tool exactly the instrument they needed.
That is no accident. We design and mould the polypropylene tool ourselves, which means we decide wall thickness and geometry instead of inheriting them. The result is a tool stronger than what is normally available on the market — and it is that strength that makes it usable well beyond the trade it was born for.
Where they are used
If your application is not on this list, that is not a problem: it is exactly why it is worth calling us. Often the tool you need already exists in the catalogue, and it is simply a matter of choosing the right size.
When the catalogue falls short
Sometimes the standard product does not work, and not over a cosmetic detail: it is the wrong size, the wrong material, the wrong shape for the way you work.
When that happens, we make the tool exist. There are four things we can change, on their own or together.
Why we can do it
We develop the part together, we design and build the mould ourselves, in the same plant where we mould it: one contact person, one party answerable for the result.
For you this means two concrete things. The first is that the product does not change underneath you: the tooling stays here, and the size you bought this year is still there next year. The second is that corrections are made without negotiations between suppliers, so they cost less and arrive sooner.
Your brand, and where it stops
On products developed for you the brand is yours: on the part, on the label, on the packaging. It does not apply to the catalogue range, which remains dariorasero®. A product created for you may carry your name; one we sell to everyone may not.
Before you commit: the prototype
From a model we produce a prototype you can see and hold before deciding whether to build the mould. It closes in advance the questions a drawing leaves open: how it sits in the hand, whether the capacity is right, whether the shape convinces the people who will use it every day.
Changes made at this stage cost a fraction of changes made to the mould. It is the step that turns a customisation into an informed decision rather than a gamble.
The mould: who pays for it, who owns it
This is the question that comes up immediately, and there is more than one answer. The mould can be yours, ours, or shared, depending on who carries the investment.
Minimum quantities change accordingly: a dedicated colour has the lowest threshold, because it only has to justify a colour change in production; a new part with the mould at our expense has the highest, and is assessed on expected volume over time, not on the first order. We would rather tell you straight away if a project does not stand up than let you spend money to find out later.
How it starts
An idea is enough. No drawing required, no specification: if you know what you are missing, we will build the rest.
What helps us, when it exists:
- What the part is for and the conditions it works in. This is the information that matters most, and often the only one we get at the start.
- A drawing, a 3D model or a sample, if you have one. A sketch on a sheet of paper is fine too, or a photo of the tool you are using now.
- Expected quantities, even just as an annual order of magnitude. Without an order of magnitude there is no way to tell whether an idea stands up.
- Particular constraints: food contact, chemical or mechanical resistance, temperatures, colour, marking.

Let's talk
A made-to-measure request is not a form: it is a technical conversation. Write and tell us what you need, and we will answer with questions, not with a price list.
